World's Biggest Coffee Morning is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK, with an estimated 2 million people raising their mugs for Macmillan last year. This year's event took place on Friday 28th September and with your help Macmillan aimed to raise over £7 million for people affected by cancer.
Here at Meadows we held an event on Friday 28th September with a raffle, beauticians, chocolate fountains, reflexologists, Pampered Chef and Sandy's Balloons.
Of course we also had coffee, tea and cakes for sale with ALL proceeds going to Macmillan.
Lots of people atteded the event to show their support for this charity and a total of £1,223.10 was raised in just one day!!

Emma Nash contacted the Meadows regarding her amazing challenge for Great Ormond Street.
Last year, we helped Emma to fundraise for her Vietnam challenge and this year she's fundraising hard for another challenge, this time it's a challenge to trek Namibia!
Emma came to the Meadows and raised funds by face painting our guests!
Emma raised a fantastic £409 in just two days, saying: "This is really fantastic and a real contribution to my target of £3,000"
If you would like to support Emma's challenge log onto www.justgiving.com/enash or for further details about Emma's trek go to www.gosh.org/events/namibia
