Located in the county town of Chelmsford, The Meadows offers a unique shopping and leisure experience which makes it a destination of choice for people of all ages.

We are a community minded centre which places guest experience at the heart of its operations. Our guests are really important to us so we work hard to deliver an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience.

The Meadows first opened in October 1992 and is set in a beautiful location, between the rivers Chelmer and Can. At 156,000 sq feet we are a small centre but this enables us to keep the environment welcoming and in touch with what our guests want.

We have a wide range of retailers within the centre ranging from top high street brands right through to smaller independent stores for one-off unique purchases.

The Meadows also has a great choice of places to eat from coffee shops and cafes through to tapas and fine dining – there are plenty of places to unwind after a day of shopping!
